BANANA AND DATE SMOOTHIE with Tahini

A creamy and delicious smoothie made with dates, banana, and tahini, with unsweetened almond milk and a pinch of cinnamon!

Ingredients

  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 4 pitted Medjool dates
  • ¼ cup of Sesames tahini
  • ¼ cup of crushed ice
  • 1 ½ cups of unsweetened almond milk

A pinch of ground cinnamon

Instructions

In a blender, place the sliced bananas and add all the other ingredients; blend until smooth and creamy. Transfer the smoothie into a cup and sprinkle a pinch of ground cinnamon on top, and voilà, the smoothie is ready to be enjoyed!

For an extra touch of sweetness, you can add a teaspoon of Sesames date syrup.

Storage

The smoothie can be stored in the freezer for up to 3 months; once taken out of the freezer, it may separate into its ingredients: just give it a vigorous stir before serving. Allow it to thaw slowly overnight in the refrigerator.

Tips for freezing bananas: peel ripe bananas and cut them into slices of 2/3 cm, then arrange the slices on a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper; freeze in the freezer for at least 1 or 2 hours. Once frozen, transfer the bananas into freezer bags or containers suitable for freezing and return them to the freezer for later use.
