Vegan and gluten-free

  • 1-2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 cup of Sesames tahini
  • 1/4 cup of freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/4 cup of cold water (more if needed)
  • Finely chopped fresh parsley leaves

Using a mortar and pestle, crush the garlic cloves.

In the bowl of a food processor, combine the minced garlic, salt, tahini, and lime juice, and blend until the sauce thickens as the emulsion occurs. Gradually add the water while blending until reaching the desired consistency. The original tahini sauce has a liquid consistency similar to yogurt, but if you prefer, you can reduce the water and leave it thicker. Taste and adjust for salt.

Pour the sauce onto a serving plate and garnish with chopped parsley.

Enjoy your meal!

You can store the sauce in the refrigerator in an airtight container for 2 or 3 days.
